London is also in the spotlight this Ramadan as Piccadilly Circus is illuminated with Ramadan lights for the first time ever. This initiative was launched by Ramadan Lights UK, a non-profit organization that seeks to raise awareness of the holy month of Ramadan. The display features a well-crafted concept that showcases the various phases of the moon throughout the month. Mayor Sadiq Khan turned on the lights to commemorate the occasion, and many people attended the event to celebrate this historic moment. The project, which was launched three years ago, has expanded to Coventry Street, one of London’s most famous streets, linking Piccadilly Circus to Leicester Square.
